Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or related engineering fields.
Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality assurance methodologies.
Familiarity with JIS, ANSI, ISO, or equivalent quality standards and industry requirements.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and recognize standard GD&T symbols.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer-focused environment.
Experience in supplier quality management, audits, inspections, FAT/SAT, or customer buy-off activities will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, fabrication, welding, casting, and assembly will be an advantage.
Willingness to travel for supplier and customer inspections as required.
Japanese language proficiency (spoken, written, and reading) will be an added advantage. Additional language allowance is applicable.
Responsibilities
Conduct quality inspections and buy-off activities at supplier and customer sites to ensure compliance with customer specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
Coordinate with suppliers, customers, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders on quality-related matters.
Participate in customer inspections, witness tests, and quality verification activities.
Verify product quality, workmanship, dimensions, functionality, and documentation prior to shipment or customer acceptance.
Prepare inspection reports, quality records, punch lists, and related documentation.
Monitor and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective actions, and quality improvement activities.
Support supplier qualification, supplier audits, and quality assessments when required.
Investigate quality issues and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and supporting documentation for audit and customer reference.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
